we want your kids clothes

Firstly - read these terms and conditions to ensure you are happy to sell us your pre-loved kids clothes.

Secondly, email us at cheeky-charlies@outlook.com to check if we have a slot available for you. Just let us know the sizes/ages you have and we'll confirm whether we can accept them just now or not. We don't need to know every individual item, just "big bag of boys clothes age 6m-12m" is enough for us!

Thirdly, pop them in the post or drop them off at our door and we'll do the rest!

Remember, we are a small family run business; we do sell items for a small profit.

We are a business and use our discretion when pricing items. Please ensure you are 100% happy with these T&C's before you sell us your items.

0-14 years

All items must be in great condition and suitable to be resold- please do not send us items if they are stained, ripped, torn, holey, faded or bobbly. If you wouldn’t be happy to buy it- please don’t sell it, unfortunately these will be rejected.

We give you credit for all items you sell to us. This credit can be used on Cheeky Charlie's website. We do not send you the money. You can gift the credit to someone else if you wish, just drop us an email.

• 0-6months = we pay 25p per sellable preloved item (£1 if brand new with tags). Tops, trousers, leggings and skirts will only be accepted if they are part of an outfit. So, a matching top and leggings or top and skirt will be accepted (as 2 items, but individual tops, leggings or skirts on their own will be rejected. Matching sets must be folded together to be accepted.

• 6month-6years = we pay 50p per sellable preloved item (£1.50 if brand new with tags)

•  6years – 14years = we pay £1 per sellable preloved item (dresses, jeans/trousers, jumpers, dungarees, hoodies & coats) 50p per sellable preloved item (t-shirts, shorts, skirts, swimwear, cardigans, non-branded school wear, Pyjamas). For any of the above which are brand new with tags on we pay an additional 50p per item 

Once we receive your items it may take up to 2 weeks for us to sort & process. We will then email you with the value of your clothes- this will be sent to you as a credit to use at Cheeky Charlie's. 

Your credit will be valid for 12 months, so don't worry if you don't need anything straight away!

Offering store credit benefits customers by allowing them to easily trade in their pre-loved kids clothes for other pre-loved kids clothes from Cheeky Charlie's. Ensuring a convenient and sustainable shopping experience while maximizing the value of your items.

• Vests in any size will not be counted as individual items for payment, 4 vests will be counted as 1 item. We do not accept preloved bibs, underwear or socks (but we do take brand-new ones as long as they are tagged!)
• Pyjamas of any age/size must be a matching set, random tops or bottoms which don’t have the matching part will be rejected. A pair of Pyjamas count as 1 item.
• We will take personalised clothes, bibs, muslin etc. if you would like us to find them a new home, however we do not pay for these items.
• We accept shoes in any size
• We accept Halloween costumes, Christmas dress us, Children in Need, World Book Day and other fancy-dress costumes.
• We accept kids’ clubs clothing – Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts – as long as they are not personalised with group or child’s name.
• We accept sportswear – football tops, thermal clothes, football boots, dance shoes, dance clothes, ballet cardigans etc.
• We accept baby accessories – sleeping bags, growbags, sheets for Moses’ basket, cot, crib, cot bed, toddler & single beds, duvet covers & pillowcase (a duvet cover & matching pillowcase will be counted as 1 item)
• We don’t accept toys of any kind (soft, plastic, wooden – none!)
• We don’t accept anything with a year on it i.e., “Born in 2022”

You may be able to make more money selling your own items yourself- and of course feel free to do so! However, if your busy, don’t have the time (or energy!) to do it yourself- send them to us!

When selling your items to us, you will need to cover the postage costs- so we recommend waiting until you’ve stored up a few items first. We would suggest you use a courier company, rather than Royal Mail as they tend to be a bit cheaper. Or if you live local- you can drop them off at our house for free.

Please note once you have sent us items, we cannot return anything to you (unless rejected by us). This means even before you have received your credit.

Please freshly wash all items before sending to us.

Unfortunately not.

If any items have animal hair on them, or smell of smoke, the entire bundle will be rejected. You will either need to collect the items from us or pay for them to be posted back to you. 

We will email you the total credit amount you will receive and if you have any rejected items. Rejected items can either be collected from us or posted back to you, we will however need to deduct postage costs from your credit for this. Alternatively, if you would rather, we can donate these to a clothes bank- just let us know!

Please note we are unable to send photos/details of which items have been rejected, again due to the large volume we have to sort.
